The First United Methodist Church Preschool offers classes to children six weeks old through four years of age. The child must have reached their birthday by August 31 to be enrolled into the age group. Classes are offered three days a week (Tues., Wed., Thurs.) or five days a week (Mon.-Fri.) for ages two, three, and four. Our hours of operation are:
Preschool: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m
Preschool Office: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Research has proven the importance of low child to staff ratios in a group care setting. It is our desire to provide the highest level of care to your precious children, therefore, we are proud to offer some of the lowest child to staff ratios in Gaston County.

MISSION STATEMENT
Our purpose at First United Methodist Weekday Preschool is to offer an informal educational program that will enhance the development of each child in a loving, nurturing Christian environment. We will provide a stimulating learning experience that will allow the children the opportunity to make choices, initiate their own learning and engage in supervised activities based on individual needs. By using developmentally appropriate activities we can enhance the child's spiritual, social, physical, and academic development.
