    Children are always welcome in our worship services, we have a Children's time during worship. For those who would rather play with friends in a loving environment with qualified caregivers, please visit the following locations:


    162 East Service: 

    A room on the left side of the lobby in 162 East.


    11am service: 1st Floor of the main building. Enter under the Narthex or for handicap accessible, take the elevator to 1st floor and ring the doorbell. 


    *All children’s volunteers have Safe Sanctuary Training

    Sunday Mornings: 

    Nursery, Preschoolers and Elementary Ages can join us for Sunday school.

    *Sunday school on First Floor

First United Methodist Church of Gastonia recognizes the need to create a safe space.  These best practices are in no way based on a lack of trust, but are intended to protect the entirety protect our church, including children, youth, and workers.

Children's Information Form:

This is an all-in-one form containing contact information, emergency contact info, allergies, etc.  This information is helpful for Sunday school teachers and the form will travel with us to all of our retreats and be on hand for all of our events. All children must fill out this information sheet in order to attend a retreat or mission projects.
